Biography

Born in 1994, Filippo Maria Gori aims to develop his skills both on fieldwork and academic study. News photographer on behalf of the newspaper “Il Tirreno” in Pistoia and graduated in Performing Art Disciplines and Media Studies at the University of Pisa, he attended the Editing basic course at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia of Rome and he is currently attending the master in Cultural Anthropology and Ethnology at the University of Bologna. His latest projects include the documentaries: “Italo” (2017) made with his father Lorenzo Enrico with the patronage of Pistoia Italian Capital of Culture 2017; “FiglioDì” (2017, co-author Alberto Vannacci), awarded the Special Prize for Solidarity and Social engagement at the 2018 edition of Zoroastro Award – Festival of Italian-Azerbaijan Cinema; “I Lampadieri” (2019, co-author Alberto Vannacci), commissioned by the ARCI Provincial Committee of Pistoia; “Come se niente fosse” (2020), with which he inaugurates his production house “GecoGramma”.
