Biography

Freelance photographer. He was born in Noto (Siracusa), a little village in the South-East of Sicily, in 1982. In 2007 he created the cooperative project "Impressioni Siciliane (scomposte)", an exhibition with photos, videos and poetry about Southern Sicily; a regional, national and international exhibition that reached many cities like Rome, Bologna, Milan, Helsinki and Munich. In 2008 he starts working on a project of his own, the documentary "U stissu sangu". He his author, camera operator and director of this movie, that was produced and distributed "from below". He is creator and author of the 2010 book "Sulle Tracce di Felice Pignataro", a photographic tribute to Felice Pignataro, muralist and founder of GRIDAS, a project in Scampia produced thanks to 528 donations through produzionedalbasso.com. After one year, in 2011 he launches his book ‘’I volti del primo Marzo’' along with Rosario Cauchi, Massimiliano Perna, Giorgio Ruta e Giuseppe Portuesi, (for Marotta&Cafiero). After these experiences, with a group of friends he creates the Frameoff collective, developing many cinematographic projects from 2011 onwards.
