Shapoor Ebrahimi

Biography

Born and raised in Teheran in an environment strongly linked with cinema and television. His father, director of photography and co-founder of Iran's State TV, teaches him the secrets of photography. Since he was a kid, along with cinema and TV, he studies music and guitar, as well. He moved to Italy in 2004 and went on with his cinema studies in Bologna, city where he still lives. He got into Italian cinema and TV world very soon, gaining experience on the set in advertisements, music videos, video art, short movies. He also created some project of his own like the short film "Cyclogic", selected for Murgia Film Festival and for Cortigiano Film Festival. In 2014, he directed his first feature film "Semitoni", a docu-fiction about underground music in Italy.
